About Us

A warm welcome awaits you at The Duke of Wellington from Jon and Helen Sutton and their team. Owners since 2004, Jon and Helen have built up an enviable reputation in the area for providing both a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in their pub/restaurant and offering a wonderful range of homemade food using delicious local produce. Where possible all washed down with a good selection of Cask Marque accredited Ales and a fine selection of wines. The Duke is popular in all seasons with two beautiful inglenook fireplaces for the colder months and a variety of outside eating areas for that special alfresco dining experience. Families are particularly welcome not forgetting your four legged friends, well behaved dogs are a common sight here at The Duke especially after a long walk in the beautiful Kent countryside.

"Lovely big wood fire burning which made it warm and cosy, coupled with the old ambience was fantastic. I’m not sure how old the pub is, but it certainly felt like it has history."
